Merit is a very special addition to our extended family! She is our singleton puppy girl from Shotgun x Zoomer breeding. This was a frozen semen breeding and since Shotgun is no longer alive, we feel very lucky to have her! Technology is amazing, isn't it?

In early January 2007 Merit joined a very special family, Terri & Jim Heck (Summit Search & Rescue) in Pennsylvania. She flew as a service dog from Charlotte, NC to Harrisburg, PA in the plane cabin with Terri. She is actively in training for search & rescue (SAR) and we are so proud of her progress and success so far. She has a very confident attitude and nothing seems to worry her. She is a real sweetheart, with her mother's dear personality, and loves all people and other dogs. She is enjoying life with her two "brothers" Boone and Apache who are also SAR Bloodhounds. Terri's goal is to have her working as her partner and search ready by 2008.
